Arsenal In The Hunt For Peruvian Striking Starlet

Arsenal is among a long list of clubs in the hunt for Peruvian wonderkid Andy Polo.

The 16-year-old striker is currently plying his trade for Universitario in his homeland and has established himself as a major part of the first-team, despite his young age.

He has so far scored three goals in 12 appearances at the start of his breakthrough season at the club, following on from three goals in four games for Peru’s Under-17s.

Now some of Europe’s biggest clubs are circling and reports in Peru claim that Arsenal, Udinese, Olympiakos, Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal are all considering bids for Polo.

It is understood that Universitario are currently in some financial trouble and will consider selling Polo for around £800,000 when the winter transfer window opens.
