Dalglish Joins Race For £2m 14-Year-Old

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is ready to outbid Chelsea for Seyi Ojo – the 14-year-old recently linked with a £2million move to the Blues.

Midfielder Ojo, who is playing well above his age-group level for MK Dons and England, has been tipped to sign for Chelsea.

However, Liverpool is desperate to nab him as part of a push to recruit the best domestic talent around, and they are further down the line with negotiations than their rivals, according to top sources.

Liverpool will offer more money up front than Chelsea have done and hope they can convince the player he has a better chance of progress with them.

Liverpool & Man United Told €22m Enough To Land Dutch Striker

Liverpool and Manchester United will be on alert after recent comments made by the agent of Ricky van Wolfswinkel with regards to the buy-out clause in his contract.

Various reports have linked the Sporting Lisbon striker with a move to the Premier League despite only arriving in Portugal this summer. His early form for Sporting, where he has scored four goals in six appearances, has reportedly alerted United and Liverpool.

Understandably, Sporting are unwilling to sell van Wolfswinkel, however, his agent Loius Laros has revealed that a €22m buy-out clause does exist in his contract and any club wanting his services will have to match that figure.

"Portuguese talk about an extended contract is premature," said Laros. "The commitment of Van Wolfswinkel runs until 2016, but he does have a clause.

"With a bid of €22m he can leave Sporting.

"Incidentally, this clause was initially even higher," Laros added. "But we got that amount down.

"It was one of the contentious negotiating issues."

Wenger Sends Scouts To Watch Russian Teen Sensation

Arsenal is reportedly casting their eye over CSKA Moscow's teenage sensation Sergei Revyakin and will make a bid for the goalkeeper at the end of the season.

The Gunners could be left short of 'keeping options when the current campaign finishes with Manuel Almunia sure to leave and Lukasz Fabianski also expressing his desire to move on in search of regular football.

And according to the People, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has sent scouts over to Russia to run the rule over Revyakin and if their reports are positive, he will consider an approach next summer.

It is thought the 16-year-old stopper initially caught Wenger's eye during the Under-17 European championships, where he excelled for his country.

If the Arsenal manager wishes to follow up his interest with a concrete offer, he will need to offer a reported £5m to persuade CSKA to sell the exciting prospect.

Dalglish Wants Germany Playmaker At Anfield In January

It seems Werder Bremen midfielder Marko Marin has become one of the most wanted players in Europe after it was revealed that Liverpool are the latest club keeping tabs on the diminutive playmaker.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have already checked on the availability of the German international and now Liverpool have emerged as candidates to sign Marin.

Liverpool were one of the busiest teams in the summer transfer window, but it seems that manager Kenny Dalglish is still not happy with his squad and is ready to spend in the New Year.

Dalglish watched his Liverpool side dominate possession at the weekend against Norwich but fail to convert a number of chances and ended up drawing the game 1-1.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are interested in bringing the 22-year-old to Anfield and may attempt to beat their Premier League rivals to the players signature in January.

Bremen signed Marin from fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach for €8.5million in the summer of 2009 and became an instant hit with the fans for his impressive displays.

Marin has also become a regular for Germany under Joachim Low and has already made 16 appearances for his country, scoring one goal.

Likened to Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil, Liverpool will face plenty of competition for the attacking midfielder and would certainly have to make a substantial offer to Bremen to convince them to part with their star player.

Arsenal Prepare £12m January Bid For Aston Villa Star

Arsenal are contemplating a £12million January bid for Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan.

The Gunners want the 21-year-old to resolve the shortage of midfield options following last summer’s departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

Manager Arsene Wenger is still understood to be in the market for a top class midfielder from Europe but is aware all his targets will be cup tied for the Champions League latter stages.

Instead, buoyed by the emergence of Aaron Ramsey, Emmanuel Frimpong and Francis Coquelin, he will just boost his squad numbers and wait for his ‘star’ until next summer.

Bannan has impressed this season under Alex McLeish at Villa Park. His form has caught the attention of Scotland boss Craig Levein and even Man United’s Sir Alex Ferguson.

Wenger hopes a £10million plus £2million in add-ons will be enough to lure him away from Villa.

Newcastle Plan £4million Bid For Espanyol Defender

Espnayol midfielder Javi Marquez has emerged as a January transfer target for Newcastle United who have enjoyed a superb start to the season and currently sit in fourth place in the league.

Manager Alan Pardew has assembled a superb squad which has flourished at the start of the campaign and he is keen to continue the momentum by further strengthening the squad in January.

Marquez, who can operate in central midfield or in the centre of defence, has in impressive form in La Liga and is attracting interest from a trio of Premier League clubs with Everton and Wigan also interested in signing the 25-year-old.

However, it is believed that Newcastle are the club most likely to make an offer and could well offer £4million for the Spaniard in the New Year.

The Catalan club are under pressure to balance their books and Newcastle know that should they make an acceptable offer then it is likely that Espanyol will be forced to sell there experienced midfielder.

Marquez has been a regular for Espanyol in the last two seasons after progressing through the youth set up and has once again looked impressive this season.

QPR Being Linked With Move For Italian Legend

Juventus say they’re ready to let captain and Alessandro Del Piero, leave at the end of the season, and the 36 year old is being linked with Fulham and QPR.

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli revealed earlier this week that Del Piero, who turns 37 next month, is playing his final season for the club which he joined as an 18-year-old in 1993.

However, Del Piero, has previously stated he intends to play until he is 40, and may therefore opt for a challenge in another country before retiring.

The World Cup winner has had plenty of interest around Europe, with the Swiss club Sion already making him an offer. Interest is reported from Premiership clubs including Fulham and QPR, and it’s thought that if the Italian veteran did come to the Premiership, it seems likely he would opt for a club in the capital.

Despite being at the late stage of his playing career, Del Piero is still on good form, captaining his team to the top of Serie A table after six games so far this season. He is the club's all-time leading scorer, netting 284 goals in 677 matches, and helped the club win the Champions League and five league titles.

Arsenal Pair Set For Shock £10m Emirates Exit

Arsenal pair Andrei Arshavin and Sebastien Squillaci could be set for a shock double exit from the Emirates with mega-rich Russian outfit Anzhi showing an interest in the pair, according to reports on Insidefutbol.com.

The Russian club is on the look out for new players they can recruit to the side after the summer purchase of Samuel Eto'o making him the highest paid footballer in the world on £300,000-a-week.

Anzhi have been linked with a number of top Premier League players over the past few months including the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

However it is now believed that Anzhi are keen to bring Russian international midfielder Arshavin back to his homeland and are preparing a move worth £10million, but it is felt included in the deal they also want French defender Squillaci.

Neither player has really impressed since joining Arsenal and it is felt that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has lost patience with the pair and would consider accepting an offer.

AC Milan Set To Move For Former Man United Youngster

AC Milan are keen on former Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon and are set to make a January move for the Brazilian.

United sold Possebon to Santos last year and it was understood that Sir Alex Ferguson had used the midfielder as a possible sweetener in a potential deal for Neymar.

United and Santos have a good working relationship following the deal but Neymar appears likely to move to Real Madrid next year.

Possebon was tipped for the top at Old Trafford but, once he suffered a broken leg while playing in the Carling Cup in 2008, his career at the club stalled.

A loan move to Braga failed to develop the 22-year-old's career and he eventually moved back to Brazil with Santos.

He has thrived back in Brazil and now Milan are ready to make their move when the transfer window re-opens.
