Bundesliga champion Borussia Dortmund has extended the contract of defender Lukasz Piszczek until 2016.
Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc said Tuesday that the 26-year-old Poland international is one of "the absolute top players in his position in the Bundesliga.''
Piszczek joined Dortmund from Hertha Berlin at the beginning of last season on a three-year deal. He was a key player in the team's run to the Bundesliga title.
