Holland defender Gregory van der Wiel has insisted he is focused on the upcoming season with Ajax, despite rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old is reportedly a target for Chelsea and Manchester City, who have been monitoring the £9m-rated full-back for quite some time.
Van der Wiel, who featured in the 2010 World Cup final, would represent a youthful replacement for the likes of Paulo Ferreira and Jose Bosingwa in Chelsea's right-back position.
The youngster has two years remaining on his club contract and is adamant that he is only thinking on his Ajax career and Holland's Euro 2012 campaign.
"It's just rumours," Van der Wiel told Onside.dk. "There are always a lot of rumours about me and none of it is true.
"So I really don't know what to think. I'm just focusing on playing for Ajax this year, and then next year there is the European Championship. Then we will see, what happens.
"I'm used to rumours, so it doesn't really bother me"
