Ezequiel Lavezzi will remain at Napoli, despite recently being linked with Manchester City, his agent Alejandro Mazzoni has revealed.
There was plenty of speculation surrounding the Argentina international after club president Aurelio De Laurentiis said last week that Lavezzi would have to decide whether or not he wanted to remain at Napoli.
This led to speculation suggesting Manchester City, who appear close to sealing a deal for Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero, were keeping an eye on Lavezzi.
However, Mazzoni believes the forward has a bright future with the Champions League hopefuls and is not considering leaving for the time being.
"I don't know why all these rumours have come out regarding Lavezzi moving to another club," the agent told Radio Crc.
"Maybe some people just want to stir up a case. It's true there is a clause in his contract, but to leave a club, a player must also be in agreement.
"Lavezzi will not leave Napoli, but if an offer was to arrive that suits both club and player then we could talk."
Lavezzi is tied to Napoli until 2015.
